Managing director Andy FitzGerald said: "It will be a significant improvement for the business because we're operating from dual sites at the moment, which is less efficient."

The new headquarters will allow us scope for future growth, he added. FitzGerald, the major share-holder, said he eventually wanted to double the company's current turnover.

In the short term, he is looking to take on half a dozen new staff to join the firm's current 70 workers. Some 80% of Oceanair's production is exported to 35 countries.
