MDM's Everett Easy Launcher
01 Nov 2004
The principle behind the design is to counterbalance the dinghy and its outboard using the bottom launcher tube as the pivot and the top launcher tube as the steadying bar.
With the boat in the water, the launcher is placed in the upright position and the boat floated through it. Boat and launcher are then pulled towards the shore, settling the boat on the launcher and allowing the top launcher tube to rest on the top of the inflatable's tubes, clamping boat and launcher together.
With the pair in balance, the boat/launcher unit can be pulled out of the water onehanded.
You can see the principle in our picture. The bag hanging on the stand support to the left of the boat is the launcher packed in its carry bag.
Made out of heavy gauge 304 stainless steel the tubular design makes the EEL light (only 5.2kg) whilst strong (carries up to 70kg) and enables it to be packed down flat and stowed in its own bag (120cm x 40cm x 20cm).
It uses standard pneumatic dinghy trolley wheels that come supplied with the unit.
MDM says the quick assembly and easy stowage make it an ideal product to be carried in the boot of the car or stowed onboard the tender or boat.
