HRH visits UK Sailing Academy

As well as visiting the Southampton International Boat Show, HRH The Princess Royal took a trip to Cowes during SIBS to visit the United Kingdom Sailing Academy (UKSA).
HRH pours the bubbly to name UKSA Freedom
The official reason for the visit was for HRH to name UKSA Freedom, a new 42ft sailing yacht built by Sweden Yachts, and view UKSA Spirit, a new 38ft catamaran built in Britain by Broadblue.
The two yachts are part of the academy's current £2.5m capital investment programme that will see seven larger yachts added to its fleet.
This was also the first opportunity for The Princess Royal to view Lister House, the Academy's £1.2 million accommodation block, completed last year.
"As patron The Princess Royal takes a very keen interest in our work especially our extensive charitable programme, " said David Green, chief executive of UKSA.
