Mastervolt inverter hits Autumn shows

Mastervolt says its recently introduced Mass Combi inverter/charger will be highlighted during all the autumn boat shows and exhibitions.

Available now, the Mass Combi is delivered as standard with an advanced remote control and monitoring panel, a temperature sensor for the batteries and a dual DC output for charging two separate batteries.

They say the important features are: weight saving (50 % lighter than the units with transformers), silent operation and compactness.

They also claim to be the only European manufacturer applying this switch mode technology - which has been applied for years in standalone Mastervolt chargers and inverter products.

Two 2kW models will be available: a 12v version, with 100A charge current which includes a separate 5A output for the starter battery and a 24v DC version providing 60A, also fitted with a second 5A output The company says the inverter supplies a superior 230v sine wave output voltage with a flexible capacity of up-to 4kW (peak power) and a 2kW continuous output.

The charge characteristics are identical to Mastervolt's stand alone chargers: a three stage charge curve, with temperature sense and voltage compensa-tion, not vulnerable to the quality of the input voltage and therefore highly suitable for use with smaller (petrol) generators.
