So following on from the meta tags we spoke of last time, the HTML title tag isn't really a meta tag, but it's worth discussing in relation to them as they are crucial in making sure you get noticed through search engines.
Whatever text you place in the title tag will appear in the title bar of someone's browser when they view the web page. It is one of the most common indexes for a search engine to look at when ranking a page so you need to consider carefully the content of the title tag, not forgetting that this will be on display.
Style sheets allow you to control the rendering - the spacing, fonts, colours, typefaces, leading, and other styling aspects of a web page - without compromising its structure. Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are a simple mechanism for adding style that allows authors to configure HTML documents. Using style sheets enables you to create the website style pre-production and also maintains consistency.
Finally, HTML Frames. Multiple views offer designers a way to keep certain information visible, while other views are scrolled or replaced. For example, within the same window, one frame might display a static banner, a second a navigation menu and a third the main document that can be scrolled through or replaced by navigating in the second frame.
