Vitesse gets Supercool
01 Sep 2004
This, they say, boasts a 25% increase in cooling power over the previous model, but despite the increase in power, Vitesse says the energy consumption has been kept right down and a box equipped with the new LK33 uses an average of 10W - no more than a standard cabin lamp.
The new marine cooler range consists of four models - the ACD and the MCD/M in 12 and 24v. The ACD version offers automatic rapid cool down to 0infinityC as soon as the engine is started, with intelligent battery monitoring via the remote control unit. The 12v MCD offers manual cool down function, allowing a switch between rapid cool down and economy modes.
Both models will handle up to 80 litres of insulated space.
Vitesse says the CB20 is a tough, well-insulated 20 ltr cool box with a hermetically sealed lid and supplied with the LK33 unit of the owner's choice.
In a built-in fridge solution, Vitesse says the VS40 offers 38 ltr capacity and is CFC free, again supplied fitted with the LK33 unit of choice. Build-in dimensions are 383 x 518 x 445mm (WHD).
