Quick release bimini hinge

American company Accon Marine has introduced what it says is an innovative bimini hinge that's easy to use when working with a bimini top.

The 405 Quick Release Hinge is made of 316 stainless steel and comes in two parts: the base that mounts flush to the rail, and the hinge, which attaches to the bimini top.

The hinge snaps into the base when the top is up and releases with a push of a button. The design eliminates the possibility of dropping important parts in the water.

Measuring 4.32cm long x 2.46cm wide and weighing roughly 141grams, the 405 Quick Release Hinge can be used on virtually any boat.

However, says Accon, it's specifically designed to be installed on the 3.17 cm tubing primarily found on pontoon boats.
