Marine Industry Regatta gets 30 entries

The event is run using Sunsail's new fleet of Jeanneau Sun Fast 37s and - if any more companies wish to take part - Sunsail says more boats can be made available. The 30 entries are: Bank of Scotland, Barclays Marine Finance, Barton Marine Equipment, Beacon Park Boats, Boating Business, boatmatch. com, boats. com, Breeze Marine/ Westaway Sails, B&G, Bruntons Propellers, Halyard, Henri-Lloyd, IPC 1, IPC 2, Lewmar 1, Lewmar 2, Lombard Marine Finance, Navigators & General, Ocean Safety, Oval 316 1, Oval 316 2, Raymarine, Rockley Watersports 1, Rockley Watersports 2, The Royal Navy, Michael Schmidt & Friends, Sealine International, Spinlock, VT Halmatic and VT Shipbuilding.
The event is sponsored by Boating Business, Yachting Monthly, Practical Boat Owner, British Sailing, Broadblue Catamarans and Saltwater Communications.
Boats have to be collected on the Tuesday night, April 19, and an informal dinner will be held in The Quayside, adjacent to the Sunsail offices in Port Solent. Following the four-race event on the Wednesday, there will be tea and buns and a short prizegiving in the Quayside.
Entries cost £675 per boat, with £100 of that total being donated to the John Merricks Sailing Trust.
