Boat Scrubber scrubs again

Boat Scrubber Marine Limited recently went into liquidation. The company says it failed to secure much-needed funding to refine and improve its patented invention.

However, a new company has now been formed called BoatScrubber Ltd and new chairman Michael Wilford and fellow new investors have injected substantial capital sums so that the new company has significant financial strength.

The board of directors has been restructured and several new appointments have been made to bring valuable corporate experience to the company - including original BoatScrubber inventor Adrian Hudd.

The new company says it is fully committed to looking after customers and members who previously signed up to Membership Scrubbing Agreements. They will receive the services they signed up to and paid for - at no further cost.

New MD Chris Smart - his background includes senior management with the Kingfisher Group - says: "BoatScrubber Ltd will honour previous commitments made by BoatScrubber Marine to existing customers. A satisfied client base is an essential foundation to our plans for future growth and BoatScrubber has a great future."

Existing BoatScrubbing machines at Port Solent, Haslar (Gosport), East Cowes Marina, Chichester, Hamble and Brighton will soon be joined by additional ScrubStations along the coast and abroad, Smart added.

Boat Scrubber Ltd will introduce several new services at the 2005 Southampton Boat Show.
