Finning appointed for VW marine engine range

The nine model Volkswagen Marine diesel engine range offers power outputs from 40165hp and were designed to meet all known emission regulations including "Bodensee II" for twin-engine installations.
Finning says they also meet anticipated legislation.
Finning will handle the VW range from its Marine Centre of Excellence based at Witney Road, Poole, where Stephen Corbridge-Atkins, who has recently joined the company for this role, will be responsible for the Volkswagen Marine product.
The range will soon be extended by the V6 225hp unit, which is based on the Audi A6 cylinder block and will be shorter than currently available diesel alternatives - a key feature for boatbuilders looking to minimise their engine rooms.
