Recruitment drive at Pepe Boatyard

Two extra boat sheds are being built at the Pepe Boatyard, in Mill Rythe Lane, Hayling Island, and a recruitment drive is expected, writes Iain Sutherland .
The boatbuilder's aluminium Catfish Catamarans are in demand. The hope is that with the new buildings it will be able to increase production and efficiency and build about six catamarans a year on top of other smaller boats it also makes.
Co-director Paul Johnson said the firm employs 11 staff but it is looking for more - mainly aluminium welders and fabricators.
