Clip-on launching wheels

US firm Davis Instruments has produced launching wheels that fit into tracks permanently installed on the boat's transom so a small boat can be "wheelbarrowed" into the water.
Once the boat's afloat, the wheels can be raised and locked clear of the water. The wheels are removable for storage and theft prevention.
Wheel-a-Weigh launching wheels are made of anodised aluminium and stainless steel and are available in two models.
Model 1461 features double hard-rubber tyres with a carrying capacity of 113kg on hard surfaces and 45 kilograms in sand. The wheels measure 20.3 cm x 3.8 cm and weigh 5kg.
