Scottish Boat Show at Falkirk Wheel next May

British Waterways (BW) will run The Scottish Boat Show and Outdoor Leisure Festival at The Falkirk Wheel from Friday May 19 to Sunday May 21 2006, writes Mike Balmforth.
With the emphasis on getting folk afloat to try it for themselves, this event will be much more of a hands-on, trya-boat event - good for getting new people into boating.
With a complete redesign and new name, the show will encompass a wider spectrum of waterway related activity, and provide more opportunities for people to get on to the water to experience boating.
The event will showcase a wide range of watersports and towpath activities, from power boating, canoeing and sailing to cycling, walking and fishing.
