No more 1st day late nights

I walked into the press office on the Friday morning and bumped into National Boat Shows' managing director Paul Streeter. I took the opportunity to ask him about the appalling attendance on the first day's late night.
"You have to try these things, " he told me. Well, they tried it and it didn't work. "We won't be doing it again, " Streeter told me. "And you can quote me on that."
One rumour going the rounds was that "The City Boys" didn't bother to come because it was going to cost them £24 to get in for a three hour trip to the show because the cheap late night entry prices weren't available on the first day . . . PN
