22 boats in for 2005 Industry Regatta
01 Feb 2005
We have reserved 30 of Sunsail's Jeanneau Sun Fast 37s for the day, so you'd better hurry to get your entry in.
Racing for the Lewmar Trophy takes place out of Port Solent on Wednesday April 20.
A boat costs £675, which covers the charter, breakfast and lunch on board for the crew - usually eight people - the prizegiving reception and a £100 donation to the John Merricks Sailing Trust.
Boats must be collected on the Tuesday evening and there's an informal Bangers & Mash supper organised at Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club on that evening at £10.95 a head. Book your crew in when you enter as places could be restricted.
Depending on the weather conditions on the day, we hope to get four races in with three to count. The runners and riders to date are: Bank of Scotland, Boating Business, boatmatch. com, boats. com, B&G, Bruntons Propellers, Halyard, IPC 1, IPC 2, Lewmar 1, Lewmar 2, Lombard, Navigators & General, Ocean Safety, Oval 316 1, Oval 316 2, Raymarine, Rockley Water-sports, Michael Schmidt & Friends, Spinlock, VT Halmatic and VT Shipbuilding.
Among the companies still thinking about entering are Barton, Holt and Sealine.
