MDM to run March trade show at Newbury
01 Feb 2005
"The rationale for the Newbury venue is flexibility as it enables the two-day show and evening programme to be run in one building, " said Dowland. "It's an ideal location, being close to the major motorway and road networks."
MDM says the show, a two day event set to coincide with the start of the season, offers attending customers the chance to buy at special one-off trade day prices and has received very promising response since its announcement at the end of December.
"We have been really pleased with the feedback we've had from customers and suppliers and have seen a large number of customers registering for the show - along with all of our major suppliers, " commented Dowland.
The company has added benefits in the form of training seminars from suppliers and business services specialists to give even greater value to those customers attending.
Additionally a dinner and race evening will take place on the Tuesday night.
MDM has opened the show up to other non-competing suppliers to take part and use the show as an opportunity to sell-in to their invited customers as well as the MDM customers attending.
"The response from outside suppliers has been very good, " said Dowland. "Harken has expressed strong interest in attending, along with other major brand names. We are looking to get as many suppliers as possible into this event - as it adds more value for the customers attending."
All MDM wants to do is establish a pre-season buying show for marine customers, he added.
Customers can register for the show by completing the MDM advertisement on the back cover of this issue of Boating Business.
