New company at Blondecell premises

Two managers of the boatbuilder and plastic moulders Blondecell, which went into liquidation in September, have started a new company with half the original workforce, writes Iain Sutherland.

Former Blondecell technical manager Warwick Buckley and purchasing and quality manager Mick Hammer have formed Composite Mouldings Ltd, backed by five of Blondecell's original investors, including founder Tony Brewer.

The company is trading in the Blondecell premises at the former Husband's shipyard in Marchwood near Southampton.

The new company says it has a full order book until the end of February with more work on the horizon.
