Tourism team takes top trophy

It's the business awards season and the importance of the marine industry was underlined when they dished out the prizes at The News Business Excellence awards in Portsmouth.
Lewmar won the exporter of the year trophy for its performance in exporting £39m (yes £39m) worth of equipment - full story next month.
The award for team of the year went to Portsmouth City Council's tourism team which organised the city's Gunwharf Quays send-off to the Global Challenge round the world yacht race.
The start and the team together increased traffic at the development by more than 70%, received media exposure worth £125,000 and is expected to earn Portsmouth more than £7m.
