European launch of Verado

The new 4-cylinder Mercury and Mariner Verado super - charged four -stroke outboards were shown for the first time in Europe at an international meeting of distributors held near Athens during June.
Models at 135hp (99.2kW) and 150hp (110kW) were involved.
The 2004 introduction was for six-cylinder engines from 200hp (147kW) to 275hp (202kW) and followed five years of development, costing Mercury Marine $100 million.
These latest models are being built on a 1.7-litre in-line-four platform.
