The site was dredged and all the old pontoons replaced, giving the marina a much larger capacity. More recently a commercial building was erected housing a chandlery, marine engineers, yacht brokerage and car hire facility.

The Octagon, was constructed right on the waterfront with five apartments on two floors, with the marina reception, offices, laundry and luxury washrooms on the ground floor. The shoreside area has also been landscaped.
