Lakey and Middleton are to share the responsibility of running the company as joint managing directors.

"We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Richard for many years, " they said. "We see a very bright future for the company with many new product opportunities in the pipeline."

Dix will not disappear from the scene immediately but will continue to work with Lakey and Middleton for some time to come, acting more in the role of advisor and giving him time to pursue other interests.

Dix wished Lakey and Middleton well for the future and is sure they will continue to raise standards and expectation.

AMP's portfolio includes Kohler Generators, Mathers Electronic Engine Controls, Newmar Battery Management Chargers, Potentia Shore Power Management Systems, Vitrifrigo Fridges and Freezers, Underwater Lights Ltd. AMP also owns the Aquafresh Water Maker brand, designing and building them in-house.
