Walton pair get Marina Operatives awards

Walton Marine's John Izod and Alwyn Williams from Upton Marina, on the River Severn, were presented with their Marina Operatives awards last month by Upton town mayor, John Thompson, accompanied by mayoress Deirdre Thompson.

The Marina Operatives Course is aimed at professional marina staff such as dock masters, berthing and mooring administrators, yard assistants and site care and maintenance staff.

Run and awarded by the British Marine Federation (BMF) the course covers all aspects of the marina business.

Izod and Williams both live in Upton and have worked at Upton Marina for over 10 years.
