Wappat's final farewell to Fairline
01 Jul 2005
Fairline's long standing operations director, Ken Wappat, has left the company after 17 years of outstanding service.
Family man Wappatt left following a tour of Fairline facilities in Nene Valley and Weldon in May. The tour concluded at the Fairline head office in Oundle, where a helicopter flew out to collect Wappatt and his wife and whisked them off to an official celebratory luncheon at Stapleford Park.
Wappatt will continue his involvement with the British Marine Federation (BMF).
Previously employed with Peterborough based Baker Perkins, he joined Fairline in 1988 and as operations director has supported the company in trebling its turnover from £30m to over £100m.
