MaxiTherm duct insulation retains 40% heat

Over the past few months and after many hours of thermal tests, Eberspacher's research for the most effective insulation material, which can be used in conjunction with their duct systems, has, they say, been a complete success.

MaxiTherm, a new insulation concept not only for new installations but as an easy to install retro fit kit for boats already equipped with an Eberspacher system, is now available.

For long duct runs in boats, and in particular through bilges and exposed areas, tests have confirmed that up to 40% of the heater's output, which can be lost through the ducting, can be retained within the ducting air flow to reach the desired areas of the boat.

MaxiTherm is a fibrous fleece material that resists damp and water ingress, over sleeved in a strong hardwearing fabric.

The material is 25mm thick, produced as a quick and easy wrap around for duct sizes 50mm O/D to 125mm O/D to ensure a quick and complete seal.

The lengths are sealed and seamed at each end so when fitted the product looks neat and shows no exposed ends.

MaxiTherm is available as single 3/4 metre lengths or in kits to suit specific duct lengths and sizes in any particular boat.
