Boating went to Goodwood. But didn't see a thing

The annual Boating Comes to Goodwood last month hit some appalling weather, with low cloud brining visibility down to less than 100metres.
Yes - thats the finishing post in the gloom, 100m away
The jockeys decided early on that they weren't up for a damp and dangerous ride, but it took the organisers until 14.45 to cancel the day's sport.
But the day still worked. The food was excellent and the company highly enjoyable and a lot of talking was done. A great day out.
