The new 12,000 sq ft facility represents a £500,000 investment by JPC Ltd, the entrepreneurial group that already includes two boating holiday companies, marine equipment wholesaling and distribution, together with an established boatyard facility at its main Wroxham base.

HRH met the directors of JPC and the key staff who will run the facility on a day-to-day basis.

"Our new operation adds to the excellent and growing range of facilities now available at Lowestoft Haven Marina, " said Anthony Trafford, a director of JPC. "It will serve the boat owning community not just in the Lowestoft area but we anticipate the wider East Anglican region. We will now be able to undertake marine equipment repair, marine engineering, boat refits or refurbishment and even custom built boats."

My thanks go to EEDA for its financial support, he added.
