Kate Humble helps out
01 Jun 2005
British Waterways (BW) is asking people to visit their local waterway and report back on the wildlife they see for the 2005 National Water - way Wildlife Survey.
Humble: help protect waterway species
The information gathered will be added to BW's species database which records biodiversity on the inland waterways and is used to help plan the management of its canals and rivers and the protection of their rich array of wildlife.
"People can help protect waterway species by taking part in this summer's National Waterway Wildlife Survey, " said Kate Humble, ecologist and TV presenter. "Visit your local canal, river or lake in June, July or August and tell BW what you see."
