Your Letters Jam Tomorrow or Log Jam?

Dear Sir, Having read both Mr Coghlan's article and Mrs Jackson's letter, I and I am certain, everyone in the Inland Waterways business can relate to these problems. We probably all work far more hours than the European working directive dictates and could all probably earn far more in the private sector where most of us come from!

Few in the industry mind this but we perhaps are all getting a little fed up waiting for development projects that effect us getting of the ground.

British Waterways as a "Mega Company" do of course have all the legal, H & S and public scrutiny to deal with, which perhaps makes the responsible people in charge difficult for them to actually make any decisions without months of deliberation and in the end the answer of "No" is often the easiest solution.

I hope the powers at the top of BWB will take on board Mr Coghlan's article as I feel he points out the one biggest problem on an expanding waterway industry and I am sure he could point out many others!

Dare I go as far to recommend the board employs him as a consultant, they could chose far worse and unfortunately, probably will!
