Jobs go at SP Systems

SP Systems, part of the Gurit Composite Technologies group, and a leading supplier of composites to the marine industry, are looking at losing between 40 and 50 jobs from its 527 strong workforce in Newport, Isle of Wight, writes Iain Sutherland.
The company has started the consultation process for making redundancies.
Andrew Day, SP's managing director of European operations, said while the company saw substantial growth ahead, the company was mindful of the need to increase productivity.
