SEEDA's Venture Quays plans

The South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) is planning to extend facilities at the Cowes Waterfront - Venture Quays site in East Cowes, writes Iain Sutherland.
The proposed plans will see the existing slipway and apron, which is in poor condition, being demolished and replaced with a new permanent structure.
This will increase the useable waterfront yard area by approximately 0.5 hectares and, coupled with the installation of a 75 tonne hoist dock and crane, will provide businesses with improved boat handling and docking facilities.
