Sunsail's Pompey stars
01 May 2005
Strikers Lomana LuaLua and Yakubu Ayegbeni posed for photographs on the Jeanneau Sunfast 37s at Port Solent Marina, where Sunsail owns and operates the UK's biggest fleet of yachts for corporate sailing, racing and cruising.
Sunsail adds about 200 yachts a year to its fleet and has to find original and interesting names for the new arrivals. The football players' names were put forward by Richard Holehouse, a lifelong Pompey fan who works for Sunsail as a new yachts buyer.
As the players come to the end of a tough season, the yachts Yakubu and LuaLua will be sailing into the sunset of the Greek islands.
Pompey look likely to retain their Premiership status after thrashing their South Coast rivals, Southampton, 4-1, with LuaLua scoring twice.
