Halyard has announced a number of key appointments:

Stuart Cochrane (above) has joined as manufacturing manager at the company's Portsmouth silencer and hose factories. He has extensive lean manufacturing experience, gained with Thorne EMI and Garador.

Mike Todd (above), 37, spent seven formative years as a Royal Navy Submariner and joined Musto from being European sales and marketing manager for Deckers, including Teva Sandals, working through 24 Hour Sportslife.

Working with Todd, Chris Dewbury (above, right), 36, joined Musto as sales director for domestic markets. With a background in technical clothing for extreme sports, he was eight years with Quiksilver, driving the company towards brand leadership.

Dewbury is an active sportsman, counting sailing, shooting and game fishing among his interests. He will lead Musto's development in the UK marketplace by rolling out retail penetration and working with existing and future stockists to broaden the distribution network.

Matt Sillifant has been appointed general manager, Marine Leisure Division at E PBarrus . He joins the company from the automotive race world where he has been responsible for running a successful race team.

Sillifant brings with him much enthusiasm and is already well versed in marine matters as he owns an 8.5 metre RIB with twin V6 outboard engines. He is 38 years old and is married with two young sons and lives near Warwick.

Simon Leedham has joined the Tacktick UK head office in customer support and Frederic Babin has joined Tacktick Sarl in France as quality technician.

Leedham will be providing technical support to Tacktick's network of 36 international distributors and dealers as well as customer support to the growing fleet of end users sailing with Tacktick products.

Frederic Babin will be implementing quality control procedures to the production line as well as providing technical support to the R&D team. He has a diploma in electronics as well as considerable experience as an electronic technician in a number of blue chip companies.
