Raymarine's 45 STV offers 100s of channels

Raymarine launched its first Satellite TV antenna system at Southampton. The 45 STV provides access to hundreds of channels of digital enter - tainment with digital quality sound.

With uninterrupted access to subscription and satellite channels while at sea, the 45 STV enables films and TV programmes to be viewed on Raymarine monitors on board - such as the E Series, H6 and M1500 monitor - or on standard TV screens.

The 45 STV is a fully automatic antenna, housed in a compact, UV stable dome. It is specifically designed to locate and acquire signals quickly from all DVB-compatible (Digital Video Broadcast) satellite service providers.

Raymarine says the 45 STV's integrated DVB technology and its unique Wide Range Search algorithm enables fast identification and acquisition of satellites. As soon as the unit is switched on, it locks onto the nearest satellite.

By reading this satellite's ID, it uses the algorithm to automatically find the location of the requested satellite.

For improved quality of reception whilst at sea, the unit includes a feature called Dynamic Beam Tilting (DBT), which enables the antenna to track signals even in the most extreme weather conditions.

The STV 45 comes with an Antenna Control Unit that provides power to the antenna and displays the antenna's status with diagnostic indicators. The Antenna Control Unit allows manual selection and programming of satellites, and is designed to connect to a PC for easy upgrades. The system can cater for up to four satellite receivers using an active multiswitch.

The Raymarine 45 STV is fully FCC and CE approved and is supported by Raymarine's global distributor network.
