The Gold Anchor Award scheme was set up in 1984 by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) to measure marinas, their facilities and safety systems. The awards range from three to five anchors and the number of anchors indicates the level of facilities. Marinas are assessed every three years.

"A scheme that encourages better standards is very important, " said Premier MD, Tim Mason. "Premier has invested heavily in continually raising the level of facilities and customer service we offer and it's good to have that recognised."
