Deck fuel gauge prevents spills

Offshore Systems has launched its new 3210-F NMEA2000 Fuel Deck Filler Gauge, which displays the fuel tank level at the deck filler as well as at the existing instruments.

They say this enables the user to see the exact tank level right at the point of filling, which allows the tanks to be filled to the top without the risk of fuel spills. Environmental protection agencies in many parts of the world are getting very concerned about refuelling spills and are imposing fines if a spill occurs. This product, says Offshore Systems, prevents this problem.

The fuel level is displayed on a blue LED display set into the deck filler surround.

The LED varies in brightness to compensate for ambient light levels, brighter in sunlight and dimmer at night. The deck filler has a standard opening key with a heavy duty "O" ring seal to keep water out of the fuel tank.

The filler and cap are produced in mirror polished stainless steel to provide a rugged and attractive finish.

The Fuel Deck Filler Gauge simply plugs into the NMEA2000 network and requires no extra wiring.
