Scrubber goes down

BoatScrubber Limited, provider of hull cleaning services at several sites in the Solent and at Brighton, issued a statement on July 7 advising its members that it would cease operations and terminate its membership agreements by August 6, 2006.
Boatscrubber: it seemed such a good idea?
The company said despite considerable efforts and substantial financial investment over the last 12 months, and a passionate belief in the basic concept, it was not in a position to develop and improve its hull cleaning service with the original machines taken on from Boatscrubber Marine Limited (which went into administration in June 2005).
