Global Superyacht Forum gives METS new visitors
01 Dec 2006
The event is a conference format and attracts key decision makers from owners to project managers. And many of those key decision makers could be found on the METS floor during the seminar session breaks.
The British Pavilion at METS now accommodates over 100 companies and a number of them operate across the full spectrum of the marine industry. Although METS has historically focused on the leisure boat equipment, an increasing number of British exhibitors are now looking out for Superyacht VIPs during the event. To attract attention and secure a slot in a delegate's planning schedule is no easy task.
The growth in the superyacht sector is displayed through the current order book, which has doubled in size over the last five years. There are now over 350 inbuild projects and a registered fleet of over 3000 contributing to a growing demand for refit slots. With these facts in mind, many companies are exploring opportunities within this sector.
In March 2007, Superyacht UK will be organising a UK Superyacht Tour of Excellence. This annual event attracts 20 representatives from all facets of the Superyacht industry to visit the UK for a three-day presentation of the capabilities of the British Superyacht sector.
This is a chance to have direct access to these key contacts through a one-to-one presentation, company site visit, evening dinner or showcase. The group of international delegates include international designers, projects managers, build consultants, captains, brokers and owner's representatives. All information on the event is available at www.superyachtuk.com
