Title Sponsor for LBS
01 Dec 2006
As we closed for press it was announced that stockbroking firm Collins Stewart had been confirmed as the title sponsor of the 2007 London Boat Show.
The sponsorship deal means the show will be known as the Collins Stewart London Boat Show.
Collins Stewart is the UK’s leading independent stockbroking, corporate advisory and wealth management business with offices in London, New York, Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Dublin and Paris.
In 2006, it was the number one raiser of finance for companies on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and has one of the country’s broadest wealth management practices.
‘Collins Stewart will be bringing a lot of new high net worth individuals to the show who might not otherwise have come,’ said James Gower director of marketing for show organiser, National Boat Shows. ‘They will get the association with our brand and the heritage of the boat show. They want to be seen to occupy the same sort of space that Schroder’s did – it signifies the coming of age of the City.’
They’ll use the show predominantly for hospitality, Gower added, but when BB asked how much the deal was for, we drew a blank. ‘I had to sign a non-disclosure clause on that bit,’ he insisted.
The deal was set up by the NBS executives, said Gower, led by the new chief exec, Rob Stevens.
