Brian Peters awarded OBE
01 Feb 2006
Peters served 26 years as a special constable in the West Sussex police force, rising to chief superintendent, and is currently vice president of the Army Benevolent Fund, with his involvement, until their recent move, with the RMP at Roussillon Barracks.
For many years Peters has been a leading sponsor of the Chichester Festival Theatre, particularly the summer season productions. He is also involved with the local courts as a JP.
He is currently chairman of National Boat Shows and vice president of the British Marine Federation.
"I am naturally extremely delighted to be awarded with this honour, which I also accept on behalf of our industry, and indeed, the community in and around Chichester, both of which I am proud to serve, " said Peters.
