The move will give the company two national sales teams and a structure that SailForce claims will enable easier expansion of its business in the future.

"We have rapidly outgrown our original structure and this change will provide the platform for the next stage of our development" says SailForce director Martin Humby, who will head up the new division.

"Product focus and specialisation remain at the heart of our business and, by separating technical and retail sales, we can continue to build upon these key competencies, " Humby added.

The company has also just reached agreement with Nauticalia to provide field sales representation for its UK trade business. This, along with selected product ranges from their existing portfolio, will provide the nucleus of the new division, said Humby.

"Nauticalia have some terrific retail products which will already be familiar to many marine retailers but there are also more recent additions to the range which will be of real interest for the coming season, " says Humby.

As a direct consequence of the re-structuring SailForce is recruiting for a new sales position based in Scotland and also covering the North of England. Further appointments will be made to support new range additions during 2006.

SailForce claim the addition of the new division will give it one of the largest marine sales structures in the country.
