Waterways link could create hundreds of new berths

Outline planning permission has been approved for a multi-million pound project that could ultimately see a new navigable waterway created linking several cathedral cities in the UK with hundreds of moorings for recreational craft, says David Foxwell

According to the EA, the Fens Waterways Link will make for a better quality of life in the region, quoting the following:

Other regional projects that will become part of The Fens Waterways' Link include the Lincolnshire Waterways, the Nar to Ouse Link and the Bedford to Milton Keynes Canal. 

Funding the Link

The Fens Waterways Link project as a whole is being part-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, Lincolnshire County Council, and the EA.
