ICOMIA announces 6th Marina Conference
01 Jan 2006
Papers relevant to the main themes of the conference are invited and will be published with international recognition in the marinas section of ICOMIA's online library.
In particular, says ICOMIA, we are interested in case studies of the marina industry working together with the tourism sector of government to promote marinas as focal points of tourism destinations;
new and innovative opportunities for marina development, eg, building for megayacht business and dockominiums;
the kind of investments in marina facilities and services that produce the greatest customer satisfaction and positive return; regulatory issues impacting marinas, eg, property taxes and submerged land lease fees; combating the loss of precious waterfront to condominium development and other non-water dependent commercial uses; and marina public relations success stories, eg national marina day celebrations and clean marina programmes.
Interested parties should send an abstract of their proposed paper - no more than two pages in length - to the ICOMIA marinas committee secretary at ypl@spinnaker.com.sg
