New rope making factory for Marlow
01 Jul 2006
Marlow Ropes is to continue making and designing rope on the same site in Hailsham, Sussex, where rope has been made for the last 200 years.
A new factory is being built in the proposed Rope Makers Park industrial site being developed by Quadrant Estates. As a result, says the company, not only are existing jobs safe, but there are plans for future recruitment.
The factory will specialise in the manufacture of hi-tech specialist ropes and assemblies for the recreational marine, industrial and defence markets.
These ropes will be made from materials such as Kevlar, Dyneema, Nomex and Technora.
