EchoPilot's forward looking black box

EchoPilot has developed a black box colour forward sonar that communicates via a video signal with third party displays.

Available in two versions, either a video interface box can connect an FLS Platinum to any other display with a composite or S video input, such as the Raymarine E Series plotters, the Garmin 30, certain Furuno, Simrad and Navman screens.

The benefits to the boat owner, says EchoPilot, include the saving of both cost and space.

The EchoPilot Platinum can "see" up to the maximum of 200 metres ahead and is designed to help navigation in shallow or rocky areas with unmarked hazards.

The cost of the Video Interface Kit is approximately £495.00, including VAT and for the complete FLLS Platinum Engine is approximately £949.00, including VAT.
