Yacht Havens upgrades marinas

The upgrade will provide larger berths for the ever increasing size of boats, together with a new uprated supply of electricity to the pontoons.
"The demand for berths from yachts over 40ft has been significant in the last 18 months, " said Carolyn Elder, director of Largs Yacht Haven.
"Fortunately we have been able to adapt the existing marina to cater for this."
We have also had to increase the electricity supply to these larger yachts to cater for their needs, she added.
The new pontoons were supplied by Walcon Marine and the electrical work was done by Rolec.
At nearby Troon Yacht Haven, £150,000 has been invested in new toilets and showers for berth holders in time for Easter 2006.
