Selden sells gennaker bowsprit kit
01 May 2006
The bow bracket is a stainless ring with a polyamide (PA) inner lining, through which the bowsprit slides into its active position. After dropping the gennaker, the bowsprit can be slid back and stowed in place to the aft pad-eye.
The inboard end features a spring-loaded plunger for easy operation and attachment to the pad-eye.
Selden says it's preferable that the gennaker tack line runs through the bowsprit. It exits through a well-rounded hole in the outboard end to be attached to the tack of the gennaker.
Various bow brackets are available to fit the many different bow designs in the market place.
The kits are priced from £265.05 to £473.06 plus VAT.
