Portavadie Marina a reality

SCOTLAND: The new 230 berth marina at Portavadie on the eastern shore of Loch Fyne is now a reality, writes Mike Balmforth.
The main pontoon structure and temporary shore facilities were all in place at the end of May and were followed by a fuel berth and 18 ton travel hoist.
Once the marina is complete, work will begin on a permanent facilities building and 19 letting properties overlooking the marina. Looking further ahead, Portavadie's plans include a boatyard with undercover storage, a chandlery and restaurant and other elements of a comprehensive marine leisure business.
