Lewmar’s easy to install chain counter
01 Dec 2007
The chain counter is designed to work with windlasses fitted with a reed switch sensor. These sensors are found as standard in Lewmar’s vertical windlass range and also feature in other makes and models (this can be checked by contacting individual windlass manufacturers).
The large LCD display shows at a glance how much anchor rode is out, while the one touch automatic function deploys and retrieves a preset length of anchor rode. A docking alarm can also be preset, as well as a stopping point to help protect the boat during anchor retrieval.
Adjustable backlighting ensures clear night operation of the chain counter, which can be programmed to measure rode in feet or meters. It has a safety lock to reduce unwanted windlass operation and a weather cover to protect the console.
Up to two units can be installed on a windlass or it can be combined with a Lewmar AA150 chain counter for multiple stations on the boat.
The Lewmar AA560 chain counter retails for £385 inc. VAT or €508 (ex VAT).
