Barton Marine purchases Wincher tooling and distribution rights

Barton Marine has purchased the tooling and distribution rights for the Wincher – the specially designed rubber moulding that converts a standard winch into a self tailing unit.
This well established product has become a popular piece of equipment onboard many sailing boats, says Barton. When a line is trimmed in under load the coils climb up the drum and are gripped by the underside of the rubber body. Cleating is achieved simply by locking the line into the ribbed groove of the Wincher.
‘We have been a supplier of the Wincher for a number of years as we feel the product is synonymous with the Barton brand - it offers a quality solution for use onboard sailing boats at a cost effective price,’ said Barton director Paul Botterill.
