Yellow taxi for Plymouth and south east Cornwall

A ring-and-ride water taxi service is due to open in the Plymouth area later this year, writes Katina Read.
You can now hail a fast yellow in the Cornwall area
The service will be operated by Huggins Brothers Marine using an inflatable rib built by the Yellowjet Taxi Company.
And the Huggins Brothers say it will be like
hailing a cab with the rib able to arrive within 10 minutes to pick up
passengers.
The RIB will be flat bottomed with a jet drive so it can even be landed on a beach, however the plan is to pick up and land up to 10 passengers at a time at marinas and other convenient landing points in Plymouth and South East Cornwall.
A prototype of the RIB is already being used on the Tamar as a demonstrator, with five more in production at the Yellowjet Taxi factory in Plymouth.
